About Yarn
For the Timeless Net Bag, I chose Concept by Katia Cotton-Cashmere, a yarn that feels as soft and refined as the design itself.
This blend combines the breathability of cotton with the gentle touch of cashmere, creating a fabric that is light, smooth, and pleasant to work with.
It holds its structure well while still allowing the mesh to stay flexible and airy.
The yarn works beautifully for this type of bag, as it gives enough definition to the stitches while maintaining a soft, natural drape. This balance is especially important for a net design, where both structure and flexibility matter.
Another reason I chose this yarn is its delicate color palette. The soft, muted tones fit perfectly within the Blossom Harmony collection, enhancing the feeling of lightness, calm, and subtle elegance.

In this video, I’ll guide you through every step of creating the Timeless Net Bag, a simple and airy project designed to bring softness and ease into your everyday routine.
The Mermaid Bag is crocheted as one continuous piece — starting with a seamless oval base, followed by the body worked in the round with a diamond mesh stitch, and finished with straps and edging, all without sewing. This method keeps the construction simple while creating a stylish, durable bag with a clean, polished look.
Please note: These measurements are taken before the bag is filled.
This pattern is also very easy to ADJUST so you can customize the size to be perfect for you!
To adjust the height: Start with a longer or shorter chain, just make sure the number of stitches is multiple of 10. In my version, I started with a chain of 210.
To adjust the width: Work more or fewer rows to reach the desired width. I made 39 rows for the body of the bag.
The turning chain ch 1 does NOT count as a stitch.
Use a stitch marker to keep track of your stitches.
< > - Number of stitches at the end of a round
[ ] - Instructions to repeat as many times as indicated
SC 9 means sc into the next 9 stitches
The pattern includes one size, but it's super easy to customize the bag's width, height, or strap length.
